History Club

Mission Statement:
To create an intellectual community for those who enjoy history, to educate people about history through speakers, multimedia presentations, and other means of communication, and to provide social activities for students on campus.

Club's History
The history club has been around for about 10 years, off and on.

Current Members
There are currently about 22 members.

Joining
To join a student must have an interest in history and help in planning at least one event a semester. When the club first started, students had to be history majors in order to join.

Meetings
The club holds bi-monthly meetings on Wednesdays at 9:00 p.m. in Hill Hall.

Activities and Events

How to reserve a space on campus.

  • The College Activities Office processes space request forms for all student groups in addition to all Decker College Center reservations. Contact Terry Page (ext. 2765) or 410-857-2765 for more information.
  • The Facilities Management Office processes space reservations for academic departments and college offices for facilities other than Decker College Center. Off campus requests are also processed through the Facilities Management Office for a rental charge. Contact Kathy Cousins (ext. 2407) or 410-857-2407 for more information.
  • The Registrar's Office processes all classroom space reservations. Contact Diane Morris (ext. 2263) or 410-857-2263 for more information.
  • Requests for the President's Dining Room are processed through Sodexho-Marriott Food Services. Contact Jason Easton (ext. 2734) or 410-857-2734 for more information.

The academic calendar is always considered before any special event is booked.
